In 1986, the original flavor factory was an old garage, where Roger Trevino and his family spent many late nights bringing natural ingredients together to perfect the latino-inspired flavors and premium products we all enjoy today.

Roger Trevino Sr. starts Twang in the garage of his family home in San Antonio, TX.

The infamous pickle salt came out as the second flavor profile from Twang. Roger wanted to showcase his only daughter, Elysia, who made her debut as a model, perm and all.

Twang buys its first machinery and becomes a direct manufacturer. The first packet machine is still used to this day.

Twang gets spicy! Elysia makes a comeback at age 12 for the first chili based blend.

Twang's mini-bottle is introduced into the market and is instantly a huge hit. The same year Twang becomes the first company to ever create a flavored margarita salt when the introduction of the Lemon-Lime Flavored Margarita Salt for Texas grocer H.E.B.

Twang moves to a large facility out on Montgomery Rd on the outskirts of San Antonio, TX.
